Situated amongst the remote communities of northern Pakistan, Gilgit Eye Hospital (GEH) treats serious eye disease. We are a charitable hospital and a major provider of eyecare in a region that is inaccessible at times and always challenging.
Our mission is to provide compassionate, caring, world-class eyecare. We have a proven track record with over 60,000 patients seen in our clinics since opening. During this period we have performed over 4000 cataract surgeries with intraocular lens implantation.
GEH functions under the direction of Vision International Pakistan (VIP), which also operates a blindschool and a community based rehabilitation program (GERC). Please read on about our projects and ways in which you could be involved. We hope you enjoy finding out more about our work.
